Limits and account levels

Your account purchase or deposit limits are determined by many factors, including verification completed on your account, your purchase history, your payment type, and more. Some features may require additional document verification or information provided by you to verify your identity.

In general, the more you verify your account, the higher your limits. Once your account has been fully verified, you can naturally achieve higher limits through frequent use of Coinbase.

Limit changes

Your limits may change dynamically over time based on many factors, including, but not limited to, your account activity, trading history, and payment type. Your purchase and deposit limits differ depending on your region and payment method type.

For US customers: You can complete a wire transfer from your bank account to your Coinbase account to deposit more than the $25,000 per day ACH maximum limit.

Sell and withdraw limits

In general, Coinbase doesn’t limit how much crypto you sell to your Coinbase cash balance (USD, GBP, EUR, etc). Withdrawing from Coinbase is dependent on the payment method you use to withdraw.

For US customers: You need to have a positive available balance in order to withdraw.
